Journalist reveals Tottenham’s next transfer mission following Hojbjerg signing

Sky Sports journalist Lyall Thomas,  has revealed that the club are currently trying to sort out their situation at right-back.

Reports indicate that Jose Mourinho is targeting as many as five new signings this summer as he looks to put his own imprint on the Spurs squad (Football Insider).

Tottenham announced the capture of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg last week, a signing Mourinho will be hoping helps to solve his issues in defensive midfield.

However, there are still many other areas in the squad in which the Lilywhites are short of options, including right-back after the sale of Kyle Walker-Peters.

When a Spurs fan asked Lyall Thomas for transfer updates on social media, the journalist revealed that the North Londoners will be going after a right-back next.

Reports over the past couple of weeks have revealed that Tottenham are negotiating Serge Aurier’s sale with AC Milan (Evening Standard), and are eyeing moves for Lille’s Zeki Celik (Fabrizio Romano) and Atalanta’s Timothy Castagne (HLN).

Spurs Web Opinion

If you had asked most Spurs fans before the transfer window to name the two positions where we were most desperate for additions, I suspect most would have picked defensive midfield and right back. Therefore, the club certainly seem to have their priorities right.
