Journalist reveals two positions Paratici will strengthen this summer

Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Tottenham will look to sign a new centre-back and a new right-back as their first order of business this summer.

A lot has been said about Tottenham’s frailties at centre-back over the last 12 months and there are question marks over the futures of both Toby Alderweireld and Davinson Sanchez ahead of next season.

Previous reports have indicated that Spurs would ideally like to sign two new central defenders this summer.

Meanwhile, right-back has been another problem area for the Lilywhites, with neither Serge Aurier or Matt Doherty making the spot their own this season.

Aurier is rumoured to be on the way out of the club and Tottenham have been linked with moves for young right-backs like Max Aarons and Tariq Lamptey.

Romano has claimed that centre-back and right-back are the positions that Tottenham are now looking to address and also confirmed that the North London club are willing to listen to offers for Moussa Sissoko.

The journalist said on the Here We Go Podcast (19:50 onwards): “Tottenham will sign a new right-back, new centre-back.

“They want something new in defence, so they’re going for a new centre-back.

“And maybe Sissoko could leave the club, so they will look for some solution for him if the right proposal will arrive.”
