Jose Mourinho’s men took to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium pitch once again today as they welcomed fellow Premier League outfit, Norwich City.
The two sides engaged in a friendly match ahead of their return to competitive football in just one week. Spurs are also due to play Reading in a second friendly tomorrow (Standard).
While Football London’s Alasdair Gold was keen to urge that reports are unconfirmed at this stage, he revealed that sources had informed him of the scoreline.
Gold claimed that although Spurs went 1-0 up, they eventually lost 2-1 to the Canaries. However, he did add that it may have been more of a training exercise than a normal 90-minute match.
Also worth noting that it’s a friendly that’s also a training exercise so it may not take the form of a normal 90 minute game. Early summer pre-season friendlies behind closed doors at Spurs sometimes consist of three 30 periods of football with different players coming in.

The reason I say the latter is because there are some suggestions it went on for far, far longer than a normal 90-minute plus 15 minute half-time break period of time, indicating more of a training exercise element to it.
