Journalist reveals ‘unhappy’ Spurs star is unlikely to be sold in January

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are unlikely to sell Harry Winks during next month’s transfer window.

Winks has not played a single minute in the Premier League since Tottenham’s 3-3 draw against West Ham in October, with the midfielder failing to make the matchday squad in any of the last three top flight games.

The 24-year-old has had to be content with getting minutes in the Europa League over recent weeks, with The Telegraph reporting last month that the England international could consider his future at the club if his predicament does not change before the January transfer window opens.

Gold did confirm that Winks is not pleased with his lack of game time but he suggested that it was unlikely that Spurs will give the green light for him to leave next month.

The journalist revealed that the club will only make a decision on the midfielder’s future at the end of the season.

He also claimed that Winks will get plenty of minutes over the next few months, with games set to come thick and fast for Tottenham.
