Journalist reveals update on Cristian Romero medical ahead of Spurs move

Gianluca Di Marzio reported this evening that Cristian Romero has already started his medicals ahead of a summer move from Atalanta to Tottenham Hotspur.

The journalist tweeted that Romero had started his medicals in Italy and would then fly to London late tomorrow night.

Di Marzio also reiterated the widely reported price that Spurs will pay the Serie A side, €50m plus another €5m in add-ons.

Fabrizio Romano revealed earlier this week that Tottenham had finally had a bid accepted for the Argentine centre-back after weeks of trying.

The same journalist later revealed that Romero would fly to England in the following 48 hours, which now seems to align with Di Marzio’s latest report.

Romano even revealed that the Atalanta defender always wanted a Tottenham move this summer, with Spurs set to make him their third acquisition of the window after Pierluigi Gollini and Bryan Gil.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Spurs should hopefully have this deal confirmed and announced by the weekend, giving Romero a week or so to train before the Premier League opener against Man City, where I would expect him to line up on the bench.
