Journalist Dean Jones has revealed that he heard from his source at Juventus that Tottenham target Samuel Iling-Junior is indeed going to be sold for a cut-price fee this summer.
After turning a lot of heads for the Bianconeri last season, Iling-Junior has struggled for game time in 2023-34, having made just four Serie A appearances this term (Transfermarkt).
Unsurprisingly, the youngster is thought to be keen on leaving in January in search of regular game time, and various outlets over the last couple of weeks have suggested that Spurs are ready to swoop for the 20-year-old (TMW).
Over the last couple of days, it has emerged that Ange Postecolgou’s men could face competition from Marseille (Calciomercato) as well as from Brighton (TEAMtalk) for the Chelsea academy graduate, with both clubs thought to be considering a move for the winger.
Spurs would have to pay up to £17.1m for Iling-Junior
Jones has now become the latest journalist to talk up the chances of Iling-Junior exiting the Allianz Stadium in January.
The journalist asserted that his contact at Juventus had informed him that the Serie A giants would be willing to let the England international leave for around €15m-€20m (£12.8m-£17.1m).
Speaking about Tottenham’s January plans, Jones told Ranks FC Podcast: “Samuel Iling-Junior of Juventus also being linked. Someone literally just messaged me about this and he’s a Juve contact, I just wanted to check with him, what is his value and he said, €15m-€20m.
“I mean that’s not a bad deal, this is a player who’s come through the English system, obviously moved abroad at a young age to go and test himself and push himself.”

The one thing that appears to be certain at the moment is that Juve will cash in Iling-Junior next month, with a whole host of sources now confirming the same.
However, it is far from certain where the 20-year-old will end up as the competition for his services will only intensify as we get closer to January.
