Journalist reveals what Kane’s representatives told him about transfer rumour

Sky Sport Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg has revealed that Harry Kane’s representatives have denied any contact with Bayern Munich.

Multiple publications have suggested over recent weeks that Kane is loving life under Antonio Conte and could commit his long-term future to Spurs (Evening Standard and Daily Mail).

However, Alfredo Pedulla reported last week that, despite Spurs offering Kane a new contract, Bayern were eyeing a move for the England captain.

The journalist suggested that the Bundesliga giants want a number nine to replace Robert Lewandowski and could look to sign the Spurs star in addition to Liverpool’s Sadio Mane this summer.

However, this was subsequently denied by Sport Bild journalist Christian Falk, who took to social media to claim there was no truth to reports linking Kane with a move to the Allianz Arena.

Plettenberg has now revealed that the England captain’s representatives have denied any contact with Bayern regarding a summer transfer.

This was probably one of the most unrealistic transfer rumours of all time, given that Kane would likely not consider a move to the Bundesliga and Bayern are not in a position to afford the 28-year-old. Perhaps, Bayern fed this rumour to the press to put pressure on Liverpool during their negotiations for Sadio Mane.
