Journalist reveals what Spurs players have been told about Conte’s arrival

The Tottenham players have been told to expect Antonio Conte to be appointed as the club’s head coach by tomorrow, according to The Telegraph’s Matt Law.

Since Tottenham’s confirmation this morning that they had parted ways with Nuno Espirito Santo and his coaching staff, Conte has emerged as the overwhelming favourite to replace the Portuguese coach.

According to reports, the Italian has now flown to London to have face-to-face talks with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy and managing director of football Fabio Paratici to hammer out the final agreement.

Some sources including BBC Sport’s Simon Stone have said that Spurs hope to confirm the Italian’s appointment by Tuesday morning.

Law has now perhaps given the biggest indication yet that Conte’s arrival in North London is imminent by revealing what the Tottenham players have been informed.

The journalist stated that the Spurs stars have been told to prepare for the fact that the former Chelsea boss could be leading the training session tomorrow morning.
