Journalist reveals what Spurs said when asked about Kane-no show

According to talkSPORT’s Alex Crook, Tottenham Hotspur have refused to comment on the stories doing the rounds about Harry Kane allegedly not showing up for pre-season training.

Kane has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester City for the past few months, with the Premier League champions backed to make a big-money move for the striker.

Despite Tottenham’s insistence that the England captain is not for sale, it was reported over the weekend that the striker is prepared to push to leave the North London club this summer.

Kane was scheduled to return to Hotspur Way for his pre-season tests today after his summer holiday but it emerged this morning that the striker decided not to show up.

Some Spurs fans on social media were left extremely disappointed by the news, admitting that they did not expect the striker to act unprofessionally in his effort to force a move.

There will likely be a lot more developments in the Kane sage over the coming hours and days. It has now emerged that when Spurs were asked about the situation, they refused to make any comment on the matter.

One would have thought that Tottenham would have come out and denied the reports if there was no truth to it. So, the fact that the club are refusing to comment, does suggest that the striker is attempting to force their hand.
