The Athletic journalist Jack Pitt-Brooke has revealed that Pierluigi Gollini is a positive figure in the Tottenham dressing room, according to sources at the club.
The 26-year-old joined Spurs from Atalanta over the summer and has been utilised as the club’s starting goalkeeper in the Europa Conference League.
His best moment in a Spurs shirt so far came in the Carabao Cup clash against Wolves, as he helped the side come through a penalty shootout and book their place in the fourth round.
Although Gollini has not been able to show the club what he is capable of in the Premier League yet, he is still apparently an upbeat personality behind the scenes, which has captured the attention of figures at Tottenham.
Pitt-Brooke has lifted the lid on what he has been told about Gollini by insiders and claims his personality has brought a boost to the Spurs squad.
Pitt-Brooke said on The View from The Lane podcast: “All of the players they have brought in are spoken of inside the club of being impressive personalities.
“Even Gollini, who hasn’t really played that much, is meant to be a great figure around the dressing room and the training ground.
“I think a bit more hunger, energy and youth around that dressing room is what they were looking for and that’s what they have got.”

From what is shared across social media, you can work out that Gollini is a confident and upbeat figure that the players seem to get along with.
Although it is tough for him to break into the line-up with Hugo Lloris around, it is good that he is so positive.
The squad generally needs these uplifting personalities as it helps them through potentially tough periods.
