Journalist reveals what Troy Parrott told him last month about new season

Sky Sports journalist Michael Bridge has revealed Troy Parrott is determined to make big strides in his career next season.

The 20-year-old spent last term on loan at MK Dons and put together a positive campaign in his third short-term spell away from Spurs.

He scored 10 goals and provided seven assists in all competitions (Transfermarkt) as the Buckinghamshire club reached the League One play-offs.

Although culminating in defeat in the semi-final at the hands of Wycombe, Parrott’s spell served as the most successful in his career to date following tricky stints with Millwall and Ipswich respectively in the 2020-21 season.

He has since managed to carry his form over to the international stage in the UEFA Nations League by producing a goal and assist as the Republic of Ireland sealed a 3-0 win over Scotland.

And with him set to return to parent club Spurs over the summer, Bridge has now revealed Parrott recently told him he is determined to make next year a big season for him.

Parrott was a positive figure in that MK Dons side last season and that should have helped boost his confidence massively.

With pre-season coming up, it will give him the chance to put himself out there and give Antonio Conte a headache as to what he intends to do with him next term.
