Sky Sports journalist Michael Bridge believes that Tottenham Hotspur will announce the signing of Richarlison later this morning after sealing his transfer yesterday.
Richardson reportedly had his medical in Brazil on Thursday ahead of completing a move from Goodison Park to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (Lyall Thomas).
Reports indicated that Chelsea made a late effort to hijack the deal but Spurs saw off the competition from their London rivals to snap the 25-year-old (Fabrizio Romano).
The North London club will reportedly pay £50m upfront to Everton for the versatile striker and potentially up to £10m in add-ons (Guardian).
Richarlison is set to become Tottenham’s fourth signing of the summer following the captures of Ivan Perisic, Yves Bissouma and Fraser Forster.
Bridge explained that the only thing that had delayed the striker’s move from Merseyside to London was the transfer fee. The journalist added that an announcement can be expected at 10 am this morning given that formalities have been completed.
He told GiveMeSport on Thursday: “The medical is done. I reckon maybe there will be an announcement tomorrow morning in the usual Tottenham style of 10 am.
“I don’t see why there’d be a delay now because the delay was the fee. At the start of the week, obviously, Tottenham were trying to do a package deal with Anthony Gordon.”

Given that Richarlison completed his medical in Brazil yesterday, Spurs might want to wait until he flies to London and completes the promotional work at Hotspur Way before announcing the signing. So, the announcement could be made later this evening or potentially on Saturday morning.
