The Athletic’s Charlie Eccleshare has revealed in a Q and A with the fans that Cameron Carter-Vickers is the only Tottenham Hotspur player who is likely to leave the club before the domestic transfer window closes on Friday.
He claimed that, despite suggestions to the contrary in other publications (The Sun, 6 October, page 54), the USA international is not a target for Swansea City.
However, the centre-back is said to be attracting plenty of interest from several Championship clubs and Spurs are reportedly happy to sell him permanently.
Football.London’s Alasdair Gold previously suggested that Jack Clarke had impressed Jose Mourinho in training and could be set to stay at Spurs until January, and Eccleshare has now backed up that claim.
The Journalist also revealed that Danny Rose is willing to wait until the January transfer window if he does not receive a decent offer before Friday.
However, Eccleshare suggested that Tottenham are unlikely to terminate Rose’s contract since they could still get a modest transfer fee for the defender during the January transfer window.
