Journalist reveals whether he thinks Fabio Paratici will walk out on Spurs

Dean Jones has warned Tottenham that it would be disastrous if Fabio Paratici left the club amidst reports of interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

Paratici joined Spurs as the club’s managing director of football last summer and has undergone plenty of work to rebuild a stale and ageing squad.

However, the Italian is already being linked with a move away from North London with PSG lurking, who could look to replace Leonardo at the helm (TuttoMercatoWeb’s Marco Conterio).

The chief has come under intense pressure following their collapse against Real Madrid in the Champions League which, according to French journalist Romain Molina, has put his position into question.

Jones believes a departure for Paratici would be extremely detrimental to Spurs’ progression going forward, having already made strides to improve the team. However, the journalist does not think such a move will happen at present.

He told GiveMeSport: “This is a really key stage in the development of the team.

“Obviously, for Paratici to walk out at this stage would be a disaster. But I don’t think that it will happen.”

Spurs Web Opinion

Paratici’s job at Spurs has been odd so far as some of the players he has brought in have had varying degrees of success.

But, he needs to be given time alongside Antonio Conte to find the right types of players to come in, so potentially losing him already would definitely be bad news.
