Journalist reveals who will lead first two weeks of Spurs pre-season training

Football London’s Alasdair Gold has revealed that Tottenham’s sports science team have been preparing to lead the first two weeks of pre-season training this summer.

Some players are expected to report for pre-season training as early as July 5, while those who have been playing in summer tournaments will be handed a few weeks of holiday before the return.

Gold claimed that the sports science staff were preparing to lead training no matter what happened with the manager search, meaning the opening two weeks will be sports science orientated whether Spurs have a new head coach in place by then or not.

Tottenham have been without a boss at the helm since they sacked Jose Mourinho in late April, making it over two months without a captain to steer the ship.

Spurs Web Opinion:

It appears that the first two weeks will be more about building fitness back up and doing gym work. At least this means that Tottenham’s woeful manager search shouldn’t hurt pre-season training too much as long as they appoint someone soon.
