Journalist reveals why Levy and Conte might be ‘perfect’ match

Fabrizio Romano has said in an interview on Chris Cowlin’s YouTube Channel that he believes Antonio Conte could work well together with Daniel Levy.

Sources indicate that Conte is now increasingly likely to become the next Tottenham manager after the club gave up their pursuit of Mauricio Pochettino.

Some have suggested that Conte might not be a good match for Spurs since the 51-year-old has a tendency of being quite demanding and Levy is not known to loosen his purse strings too often.

However, Romano believes that Conte might actually enjoy working with someone like Levy, who is involved in the day-to-day running of the club.

The journalist revealed that the former Chelsea boss’ main issue at Inter was the club hierarchy’s perceived apathy towards the team.

Romano explained that Conte was irked by the fact that Inter chairman Steven Zhang was never in Milan and only arrived in the city to celebrate the club’s title triumph.

The journalist added that working with someone like Levy, who is always around the club, would be ‘perfect’ for the Italian.
