Journalist rubbishes reports of Tottenham’s interest in 26-year-old PL star

Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge has insisted that Dean Henderson is not a target for Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

Spurs are expected to sign Hugo Lloris’ successor this summer, with the likes of Valencia’s Giorgi Mamardashvili, Brentford’s David Raya, Brighton’s Robert Sanchez and AC Milan’s Mike Maignan thought to be at the top of the Lilywhites’ wishlist (Football.London).

ESPN reported a few days ago that Henderson is also one of Tottenham’s top targets ahead of the summer.

It was explained that the goalkeeper, who is currently on loan at Nottingham Forest from Manchester United, is keen on playing regular football next season and is set for crunch talks with the Red Devils over his future this summer.

The publication even suggested Spurs bring up the 26-year-old in any talks that United start regarding Harry Kane.

However, Bridge has now poured cold water over the report by stating on social media that Henderson is not on Tottenham’s list of goalkeeping targets.

None of the journalists with reliable sources high up at Spurs have really suggested that the club are likely to pursue Henderson.

As things stand, it appears like David Raya might be the club’s top target but we might well be battling the likes of Chelsea and Man Utd for the Brentford star’s services.
