TalkSPORT journalist Alex Crook has taken aim at one Tottenham player, while adding that Thomas Frank stands no chance with his current squad.
Compared to how Spurs have played at home for much of the season, Thomas Frank can take a few positives from his side’s showing against Liverpool.
Despite the away side having a numerical advantage for the majority of the game, the Lilywhites kept themselves in it, and one can argue that they could have got a point if there had been better officiating.
Thomas Frank believes that John Brooks got all three of his big decisions wrong, opining that both red cards were harsh and that Hugo Ekitike’s goal should have been ruled out.

Alex Crook believes Cristian Romero is a liability for Tottenham
Journalist Alex Crook has now taken aim at one of the red card recipients, Romero, for his performance, describing him as ‘an average defender’.
The centre-back got his first yellow card for complaining about being pushed in the back for Ekitike’s goal, and he received his second in stoppage time for kicking out at Ibrahima Konate.
Crook believes that the 27-year-old is a ‘liability’ for Tottenham and admitted that he feels sorry for Frank for having to rely on players such as the Argentine.
He wrote: ‘Cristian Romero represents all that is wrong with THFC. An average defender lauded by the fans because he ‘puts a tackle in’. An absolute liability. I feel sorry for Thomas Frank. He’s got no chance with this group of players.’
Romero’s discipline is becoming an issue again this season
In the Tottenham captain’s defence, this is the first red card he has got in over two years, which shows that he is good at toeing the disciplinary line.
However, there is no doubt that some disciplinary issues are seeping back into his game this season.
Romero has received the most yellow cards in the Premier League this term (7) apart from the two against Liverpool, and should he get three more in the next 15 matches, the defender faces a further two-match suspension.
