Journalist suggests possible player swap deal between Spurs and PL rivals

Daily Express journalist, Jack Otway, has suggested that a swap deal offer from Man United involving Harry Kane and Jadon Sancho could ‘make sense’ this summer.

This comes after The Daily Star reported that Tottenham were interested in Sancho and could test the water with a £50m bid for the winger.

Football Insider recently claimed that Manchester United are pessimistic about the prospect of signing Harry Kane from Tottenham this summer.

Last week, we also relayed an update from The Sun, which suggested that Man Utd had handed Kane ‘a last-ditch ultimatum’ to put in a transfer request if he wanted to move to Old Trafford this summer.

The publication claimed that the centre-forward was ‘desperate’ to join United but the Red Devils had been told by Spurs that he is not for sale and that there is no room for negotiations.

Man United are pessimistic on Harry Kane chances

Football Insider claimed that while the England captain was United’s top target, a move for the centre-forward is now becoming ‘less likely’ as the transfer window progresses.

It was asserted that everything has ‘gone quiet’ in the Kane front and that Erik Ten Hag’s men have now started sounding out potential alternatives.

This is because United are now ‘pessimistic’ about their chances of signing the Spurs star and they believe that a deal for the 29-year-old would be ‘too hard to do’ this summer.

The only way Kane is leaving Spurs this summer is for cold, hard cash. And a Premier League rival would have to offer a whole lot of it to bring Daniel Levy to the table.

It’s risky for Tottenham, seeing as Kane could walk into any Premier League side for free next summer, but Levy is clearly willing to roll the dice.
