Journalist suggests which way Nagelsmann is leaning – Tottenham or Chelsea

Bild journalist Christian Falk has said that Julian Nagelsmann would prefer to take the Chelsea job over the Tottenham one.

There were several positive updates last week regarding Tottenham’s chances of swooping for Nagelsmann, with Matt Law even suggesting on Matt Hayes – Tottenham Blog that the German is ‘something of a Spurs fan’.

The journalist added that the 35-year-old’s agent also has a good relationship with Daniel Levy, which could work to the Lilywhites’ advantage.

However, over the past couple of days, multiple sources have indicated that Chelsea appears to be a more realistic destination for Nagelsmannn in the summer.

Fabrizio Romano said on his YouTube channel on Saturday that despite all the stories linking the recently departed Bayern boss with Spurs, he is not aware of ‘anything advanced for now’.

The journalist added that Nagelsmann is ‘really appreciated’ by some members of the Chelsea board.

Falk has now taken to social media to state that the German coach would prefer taking over at Stamford Bridge to the hot seat at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Spurs Web Opinion

I fail to see how Tottenham would not be a more attractive option than Chelsea for Nagelmsann if he wants to build a medium to long-term project.

Despite all the money that the Blues have spent, their squad looks like it needs major surgery while one can make the case that we only need a few quality additions (mostly in defence) to compete with the big boys.
