Journalist why he thinks there will be ‘a flurry’ of late transfer business for Spurs

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has revealed on social media that he expects several of Tottenham’s young guns to be loaned out towards the end of the transfer window.

Quite a few of the young talents from the club’s academy featured in Tottenham’s first pre-season match against Ipswich Town, which the Lilywhites won 3-0 on Saturday.

In fact, Spurs ended the game with an extremely young side team with the likes of Dennis Cirkin, Harvey White, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Jamie Bowden, Jack Clarke, and summer signing Alfie Devine, all getting decent run-outs in the second half.

Although Tottenham did not add to the scoresheet after the interval, some of the interplay and smart exchanges were a joy to watch as the away side struggled to get a foothold in the game.

After the match, Gold took to Twitter to admit that he expects many of the young talents who featured against Ipswich to leave on loan, but only after playing their part in Tottenham’s extremely busy start to the season.

Spurs Web Opinion

Given how ridiculously cramped our schedule at the start of the season is, Jose will have little choice but to use many of the youngsters in the early rounds of the Carabao Cup and maybe the Europa League. Many players showed yesterday that they can be counted on to perform if given an opportunity. While the likes of Harvey White, Jack Clarke and Jamie Bowden will benefit from a loan move, I expect Cirkin to stay and fight for the left-back spot next season.
