Juan Foyth gives fans hope that Dybala deal might be alive

A lot of Spurs fans on social media spent the last two days on the edges of their seats after reports emerged suggesting that the club were working on a deal to bring Juventus forward Paulo Dybala to North London.

Unfortunately, however, reports today indicate that the deal has now fallen through and that both clubs have called off negotiations (BBC).

This news obviously left some fans extremely disappointed but Tottenham defender Juan Foyth has now given fans some hope through his social media activity.

Foyth, who is Dybala’s international teammate with Argentine, ‘liked’ a post on Instagram which suggested that Tottenham could yet sign Dybala before the deadline as they aren’t planning on performing a medical.

The fan account shared the update provided by Sky Sports’ Gianluca Di Marzio, who suggested that Tottenham might skip the medical to fast forward the deal.

Some Spurs fans saw Juan Foyth ‘liking’ the post as a potential sign that a deal was still on

Spurs Web Opinion:

Foyth, like most of us, probably has no idea how the deal is progressing. This is just a case of some fans getting desperate and refusing to accept that the deal is off. As long as Spurs manage to complete deals for Lo Celso and Sessegnon, they would have had a pretty solid transfer window.
