Jude Bellingham delivers a four-word verdict on James Maddison that Spurs fans will love

Jude Bellingham is in awe of James Maddison, with the Real Madrid star delivering huge words of praise for his England teammate on social media after his impact off the bench against Belgium.

Maddison was named among the substitutes for the Three Lions, with Gareth Southgate starting with a midfield trio of Kobbie Mainoo, Declan Rice and Bellingham.

The Tottenham was man was introduced in place of Mainoo on 74 minutes as England went in search of a late equaliser.

The 27-year-old made his presence felt as soon as he entered the pitch, with the home side, who had struggled to create too many chances up to that point, looking a lot more dangerous going forward.

Maddison made a decisive impact deep into stoppage time as he picked out Bellingham with an exquisite pass in the box despite being surrounded by Belgium defenders, with the former Borussia Dortmund man taking a touch before turning the ball home.

Jude Bellingham is a big James Maddison fan

The Spurs man took to Instagram after the game to praise the character that his teammates showed to level the game and called on them to take the same attitude into the Euros this summer.

Bellingham responded to the Tottenham man’s post with the comment: “What a f***ing player.”

Spurs Web Opinion

We know that Bellingham is a huge fan of Maddison and they could potentially work very well together, given the former’s ability to make enterprising runs and the latter’s incisive passing.

However, I would be quite surprised if Southgate decided to start those two in a midfield three along with Declan Rice as he will feel that it does not give his side enough defensive protection.
