Guglielmo Vicario’s future at Tottenham Hotspur remains uncertain heading into the summer transfer window, with interest in the Italian goalkeeper continuing to grow from Serie A.

There are a few players whose futures remain unclear at Tottenham Hotspur ahead of the summer transfer window.

Guglielmo Vicario is one of them, with the Italian attracting interest from elsewhere since the winter transfer window.

Inter Milan were previously keen on securing the signature of the 29-year-old, while Spurs Web also reported at the time that Vicario had greenlit a move to the Italian champions.

Juventus join race for Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario

Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio is now reporting that Vicario has more than one admirer in Italy, with Juventus also interested in signing the Tottenham goalkeeper.

Vicario endured a disappointing campaign at Spurs, conceding 50 goals in 31 Premier League appearances while managing just seven clean sheets.

However, although Juventus remain keen to strengthen their options in goal, Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has also been identified as an alternative target.

Martinez is reportedly available for around £4.3m (€5m), while Vicario would cost significantly more, with Tottenham valuing the Italian at a minimum of £12.8m (€15m).

However, Vicario’s wage demands are likely to be significantly lower than the World Cup winner.

Spurs may need another goalkeeper this summer

If Tottenham eventually decide to part ways with Vicario this summer, they will need to bring in another goalkeeper.

Antonin Kinsky made a positive early impression during the few matches he played for Spurs last season, but promoting him from understudy to first choice would still require Tottenham to sign another goalkeeper capable of competing for the position.

Spurs Web has already reported on Tottenham’s interest in Benfica goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin following an impressive season in Portugal.
