Juventus have now entered the race to sign a midfielder who is admired by Thomas Frank and Tottenham, as well as Manchester United.
Thomas Frank has continued to show faith in the Joao Palhinha-Rodrigo Bentancur partnership, but reports indicate that the Dane wants to add another number six to his squad.
It has been suggested over recent weeks that Spurs may reignite their interest in Conor Gallagher, while some sources have also suggested that Tottenham could revisit their interest Kobbie Mainoo in January.
Additionally, Frank is also thought to be a big fan of one of his compatriots. It has been alleged that Spurs are preparing an offer for Morten Hjulmand in January.

Juventus ready to challenge Tottenham for Morten Hjulmand
According to a new update by Calciomercato, Juventus also have the Sporting Lisbon midfielder in their sights ahead of January.
The report says that Luciano Spalletti is prioritising adding to his midfield in January, with the Italian coach not a fan of Manuel Locatelli.
The Serie A club have now identified Hjulmand as the perfect fit, a player who they have had their eye on for a long time.
However, the outlet adds that the Bianconeri realise that singing the 26-year-old will not be easy and they are thus also looking at other alternatives.
How much would Spurs have to pay for Hjulmand?
It is not just Juve that the Lilywhites would have to worry about, with reports over recent days claiming that many clubs across Europe are ready to battle Tottenham for Hjulmand’s signature.
However, the Denmark international may not be as expensive as the North London club initially feared.
According to a recent update by Football Insider, although Hjulmand has a release clause of £70m, Sporting are prepared to sell him for £50m in January.
