Kaboul completes Sunderland move

Tottenham have confirmed that Younes Kaboul has completed his move to Sunderland.

The former Spurs captain underwent a medical with the Stadium of Light outfit earlier today on a four-year deal, the transfer fee is said to be £5million.

Kaboul struggled to get regular first-team football under Mauricio Pochettino and with the recent additions of Toby Alderweireld and Kevin Wimmer, the French international found himself surplus to requirements at the Lane.

Kaboul told the official Sunderland site: “I’m delighted to be a Sunderland player and it’s an honour to join this club.”

“I would like to thank Lee Congerton and the head coach for making this move possible and I can’t wait to start playing for the Sunderland supporters.”
