Younes Kaboul admits he’s glad to be back playing football after his recent injury absence.
Kaboul returned to the Tottenham defence to partner William Gallas for the 1-1 draw with Everton after missing over a month out with a hamstring problem.
The former Pompey player impressed upon his return to Harry Redknapp’s side and will be looking to cement his place as a regular starter in defence.
“I was very happy to start the game, even though it was a bit difficult because I hadn’t played for a month,” Kaboul told the club’s official website.
“I thought we did well defensively but we couldn’t win. I thought 1-1 was a fair scoreline and now we have to concentrate and focus on the next game.
“They scored a great goal and we’re lucky because we came back straight afterwards. That was important.
“We didn’t doubt ourselves. We perhaps could have scored a second goal in the second half but we didn’t and as I said, 1-1 was a fair result.”
