Kane aiming for a Dortmund return

Tottenham Hotspur have been without Harry Kane for a number of weeks now, and in truth, have struggled to fill the void of one of the world’s greatest current strikers.

It also didn’t help that Kane’s injury coincided with a knock to Lucas Moura, and a Dele Alli injury spell, as well as Heung Min Son’s period away with South Korea.

Spurs were left with Fernando Llorente as their only strike options, and struggled to utilise the former World Cup winner, who was not used to playing 90 minutes, yet alone multiple fixtures in a week.

Tottenham were subsequently knocked out of both the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup in the space of four days, and have been struggling for easy wins in the Premier League too.

It is clear that Spurs need their main man back, and Pochettino has now revealed that Kane want sot play against Dortmund in the Champions League, although he did not specify which leg.

Poch was asked ‘Kane is away at the moment, is the target to have him for Dortmund?’ (Football London): “He wants to play. We’ll see because at the end we have the experience with him the most important is he feels strong, the physical condition is important so yes to get fit and arrive in the moment that he feels he’ll be strong and going to be fit again to compete is going to be there.

“It’s not to put time on him to be involved with the team because the most important now is to focus and recover.”
