Kane and Sissoko react on Twitter to Tottenham’s win over Manchester City

Tottenham put in a dogged defensive display to keep Manchester City from scoring and overcame them 2-0 after the visitors went down to ten men in the second half.

It was a professional and disciplined performance from Jose Mourinho’s side and Tottenham’s first win against one of the so-called big six teams since the Portuguese coach arrived in November.

Steven Bergwinjn enjoyed a fairytale debut as he put the Lilywhites ahead with a brilliant strike and Son Heung-min soon doubled the home side’s lead and effectively put the match beyond the current Premier League champions.

Injured stars Harry Kane and Moussa Sissoko have both taken to social media to congratulate the team on the amazing win.

What makes the performance even more impressive was the fact that we were without key players in Kane and Sissoko. It was clear once again that the team was missing a focal point up front. I believe we could have had a lot more joy with our counter-attacks if we had someone who could’ve held the ball up. Regardless, Lucas, Dele and Son all ran themselves into the ground even if it might have not been their best displays.
