‘Kane and Son need to be way more clinical’ – Some fans on first half against Liverpool

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting on social media with their thoughts on the first-half performance they have witnessed against Liverpool this evening.

Tottenham have not kicked a ball in competitive action prior to facing Jurgen Klopp’s side since beating Norwich City a fortnight ago before the Covid-19 outbreak derailed Antonio Conte’s season.

It was Liverpool who made the brighter start to the match and could have gone ahead inside the first two minutes through an Andy Robertson header and Trent Alexander-Arnold also had a shot from outside the box beaten away by Hugo Lloris.

Tottenham got the breakthrough when Tanguy Ndombele played Harry Kane inside the penalty area and the striker showed good composure to find the bottom corner of the net.

Liverpool equalised ten minutes before the break when Jota headed home from a Robertson cross.

Here is a selection of reaction from some fellow Spurs fans on the opening forty-five minutes of action under the lights at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with the score level at 1-1.
