Kane could snub Real Madrid – Poch

Harry Kane’s love for Tottenham may soon be tested, with reports suggesting Real Madrid have joined Manchester United in showing interest in the striker.

Gareth Bale and Luka Modric have both found the lure of Madrid too strong in the past but Pochettino believes Kane, who joined the Spurs academy aged 11 and grew up in neighbouring Chingford, could turn down the Spanish giants.

“It’s possible, why not? Because Harry’s dream is to play for Tottenham,” Pochettino said.

“When you feel from a player like Harry the passion for the club, for the shirt – in football sometimes it’s about business, about money, but for a lot of players it’s about passion, heart, feeling.

“Harry wants to stay with us and he has repeated several times he wants to stay with us.

“There is trust, we have a very good relationship, this is the truth. We don’t want to sell him and he wants to stay with us.

“This is very good news for us, for our supporters and for the club because the potential at the club is unbelievable.”
