Some Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to voice their frustrations at the 1-0 opening day defeat at home to Everton this evening.

Spurs came into the match with two new signings in the starting XI in the form of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Matt Doherty, yet they were outperformed by the Toffee new boys.

The likes of Rodrigues, Doucoure, and Allan ran Tottenham off the pitch from the first whistle until the last.

The away side took the lead in the second half when a delightful Digne cross was met by the leap of Calvert-Lewin, giving Hugo Lloris no chance between the sticks.

  1. Mourinho’s greatest fault is depending too much on Kane. It was also a Pochettino mistake. Kane just sauntered around mid fielld most of the game against Everton. Before World Cup; he hustled and mmade many of his own chances. Now he keeps waiting for “service” .
