Kane injury has masked this big Tottenham problem

Tottenham Hotspur revealed the true extent of Harry Kane’s injury yesterday, with the striker set to be out until early March (BBC).

Kane picked up an ankle knock at the death of the Man United loss on Sunday, and was seen hobbling from the pitch.

This has left Spurs with just Fernando Llorente as the only fit senior forward at the club.

Heung Min Son is away on international duty and Lucas Moura is nursing an injury of his own.

However, the news of their star man’s injury may have masked another issue for Pochettino, as Moussa Sissoko was removed from play with a groin strain on Sunday.

This has left just Harry Winks as the only fit senior central midfielder, with young Oliver Skipp also an option.

Eric Dier, Victor Wanyama, and Luke Amos are still out injured, and Mousa Dembele looks set for a move to China.

There could be some interesting team selections from Pochettino in the coming weeks.
