Harry Kane would walk in to the Real Madrid team and should join them this summer, according to Graeme Souness.
Souness, speaking on talkSPORT, believes Kane will become the first £200m player and will consider leaving Spurs because ‘he’ll be looking at the wages paid at Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City’ and know he’s worth a lot more.
Its widely believed that Madrid will move for Kane, 24, this summer, and Souness believes Kane should go to the Bernabeu when the opportunity arises.
Writing in his Sunday Times column, Souness said: “I’m fully aware that I will be upsetting some fans with what I’m about to argue, but, being impartial, I believe that Harry Kane should leave for Real Madrid this summer, if he gets the chance.
He added: “The fee Real will have to pay for Kane will start with a two and be followed by eight zeros. I reckon that he could become the first £200m player.”
It has questioned whether he will be able to perform on the biggest stage and how he’d handle the pressure playing at Real Madrid brings a and how Kane could succumb to the trials and tribulations of wearing that most famous of white shirts.
However, Souness feels Kane is ready for that pressure… even if his Tottenham teammate Dele Alli, and his manager Mauricio Pochettino, are not.The Liverpool great continued: “Kane’s ready for Real Madrid, but Dele Alli isn’t.Ive seen a definite improvement in Kane since he came into Tottenham’s team, but not to the same extent in Alli.
He added: “Similarly, Real Madrid can’t be considering Mauricio Pochettino based on what he’s won. His publicity is great and he’s deemed to have done a good job at Tottenham, but if he’s being touted for the manager’s job at Real it tells me there’s a lack of candidates.
“Zinedine Zidane’s track record of two Champions League and a La Liga title in the past two seasons is the standard expected there.”
