Robbie Keane has admitted that Niko Kranjcar has been more impressive than he expected.
The Croatian international has been in superb form for Tottenham since his £2million switch from Portsmouth.
Keane told the club’s official site: “He’s a wonderful player, a proper footballer,” he said.
“He’s great to play with, very clever and links the play well.
“He’s quite similar to Luka (Modric) in respect of how he plays, how he tucks inside from the wider areas. He’s been fantastic.
“I’d played against him a few times and watched him and always thought he was a good player but you only realise how good he is when you play with him. He’s even better than people expected.”
