Robbie Keane played down his two goal display in the 3-0 win against Hull City this afternoon.

The Tottenham striker scored a goal either side of half-time, with Lennon adding a late third to help Spurs lift the Premier League Asia Trophy.

Keane told Sky Sports: “It’s nice to score a goal, but the most important thing is getting the sharpness and getting a good result and obviously a good start to the season, it’s good preparation for that.

“The lads have been looking really sharp and considering the long trip, we’ve been looking really good and hopefully we can continue that to the start of the season.”

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. On the pitch Keane really looked asf he cared, that was untill he did the interview after the match. Come on Robbie gie us a smile.

  2. Good promotional clip on utube for addidas in which Pav, Defoe and perhaps future spurs player Ashley Young try out their Gaeilge (Irish) football skills. Defoe in particular looked pretty nifty.
Go to utube and type in the names- Brogan and Defoe
this should pick up the advert.
PS Alan Brogan plays Gaeilge for Dublin, in case your wondering.
