“I think the club has let Mauricio down” – Jenas has his say

Brighton brushed Tottenham aside at the Amex Stadium today with consummate ease as Mauricio Pochettino’s men crumbled to a 3-0 defeat.

The performance from the Lilywhites was absolutely shocking as Brighton dominated the game from start to finish.

While Graham Potter’s side certainly deserve credit for their performance on the day, predictably the big talking point at full time was the worsening crisis at Spurs.

Jermaine Jenas and Joe Cole were analyzing the game for BT Sport and straight after the final whistle, the pair pulled no punches in their criticism of the Spurs players.

Cole said that although Tottenham had some world class players in their team, this looked like was the end of the road for the current Spurs squad.

Meanwhile, Jenas insisted that the defeat felt like the kind of moment that would force the Tottenham hierarchy to consider making a managerial change.

Here’s how the pair reacted after the final whistle:

One of the most worrying things about the game was the fact that Mauricio Pochettino looked like a beaten man on the touchline. None of his tactical changes or substitutions had the desired effect on the game with the exception of Moura’s introduction late in the match. If the Spurs manager’s body language is anything to go by, things certainly don’t look promising at all.
