Tottenham looking to salvage what has been a poor season

Spurs are languishing in the bottom half of the table, with European qualification looking beyond them through the Premier League, while they have also been knocked out of the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup.

The Lilywhites will now put their focus on the Europa League, with Ange Postecoglou‘s men knowing that achieving European glory at San Mames in May could completely change the feeling about the project at N17.

Danso has seen enough already in his first two weeks at Hotspur Way to be convinced that better times are on the way.

Kevin Danso confident of a Tottenham turnaround

The results have not always been positive since Danso joined the club in the dying stages of the January window, but the defender insists that the potential of the team is clear.

The Spurs newcomer is confident that good times are just around the corner as key players return to action over the coming days and weeks.

Danso told The Express: “I can see the potential of the team, even though the results haven’t really shown that. We’ve got a lot of players missing but the character is there, the willingness is there and we can only be positive moving forward.

“With the situation we’re in now, I know it’s just a momentary thing and that better times are still to come.”

Kevin Danso makes admission about his own form

The Express claim that the Austria international was candid to them about his own ‘poor form’ and acknowledged that he needs time to get up to speed in his new surroundings

Speaking about his own performances so far, the former Lens man assured the outlet: “But I think in a maximum of one or two more games, I’ll be fully up to speed.”

Danso put in a superb performance against Man United that got fans talking though, earning a well-deserved Premier League clean sheet on his full debut.

Tottenham fans will certainly hope that is the case, with Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero not expected to be back in action until March.
