Kevin Danso has revealed that his career crossed paths with Tottenham fan favourite, Dele Alli, and has made a big claim about recreating the attacking midfielder’s success at Spurs.
Danso is no stranger to living in England or to English football, having moved to the country from his native Austria at the age of six.
The defender came through the ranks of the MK Dons academy and during his time at the club, he saw a young Dele Alli making waves within the set up.
The attacking midfielder’s impressive displays at Stadium MK convinced Spurs to take a punt on him in 2015, and that proved to be an inspired decision, with Dele going on to be a key part of the Mauricio Pochettino revolution at the North London side.

Tottenham’s Kevin Danso makes Dele Alli admission
Danso confesses that he and the other youngsters coming through the ranks at MK idolised Dele and wanted to follow in his footsteps by being a star in the Premier League.
The defender insisted that he would be over the moon if he could leave a similar mark at Tottenham to the one that the midfielder did a few years ago.
When asked if he was at MK Dons at the same time as Dele, Danso told The Standard: “Obviously I knew Dele, I’m not currently in touch with Dele, he was three years up. I used to play with his age group but he was always playing up as well, so I know a lot of his team-mates and his age group.
“Every MK Dons player wants to be as big as Dele Alli was here. He’s a great player, a great person and I wish him all the best. If I have a career as good as he had when he was here, I think I would be very pleased.”
Where is Dele Alli now?
Unfortunately, Dele’s injury nightmares have continued since his move to Serie A side Como in January, with the former Tottenham man yet to kick a ball for his new side.
His head coach, Cesc Fabregas, admitted last week that Como are having to be patient with Dele Alli, hinting that he might not play until next season.
Fabregas said about the midfielder: “He’s working off the pitch at the moment. I don’t want to put extra pressure on him, he hasn’t played for months.
“From Monday (last week) he will be at full capacity with the group, after the personalised work of the last few weeks. He needs time, I spoke to him and I was clear with him, we are here to help him. We believe we can do it.
“We need patience to see him back on the pitch: please, let’s stay calm. The last few months will be used to get back in shape for next season.”
