‘Kill me now’ – Piers Morgan reacts to transfer rumour involving Tottenham

Arsenal supporter Piers Morgan has responded on Twitter to speculation that Tottenham Hotspur could be a potential destination for Cristiano Ronaldo.

Italian football journalist Michele Criscitiello took to Twitter earlier today to claim that Ronaldo’s time at Juventus appears to be over with Max Allegri and the Portuguese not wanting to work together.

Morgan retweeted and commented on a Twitter post from our social media account with the caption ‘Kill me now’, at the prospect of the former Manchester United and Real Madrid ace moving to the white half of North London.

Ronaldo is out of contract at Juventus at the end of the season, with Sky Sports claiming the 36-year-old is open to leaving the Old Lady, however, there have been no offers to take him.

Reports from Italy claimed that Ronaldo asked not to start in Juventus’ 2-2 draw against Udinese this afternoon, with the player having come off the bench only to see see his winning goal ruled out in injury time following a marginal VAR offside decision.

Spurs’ managing director of football Fabio Paratici brought Ronaldo to Juventus from Real Madrid during his time in Turin, however it seems a big ask that he would be able to do the same at Tottenham.

Ronaldo earns an eye-watering amount of money at Juventus and it would be hard to think that he would want to swap Champions League football for the Conference League.
