King to return in two weeks

Ledley King

Ledley King has undergone surgery on his groin and is expected to return to training in two weeks time.

King last played for Spurs against Fulham in October, having been sidelined since with the troublesome groin injury.

The Tottenham skipper had been due to have the operation last week, but was delayed after King misplaced his passport.

A statement on the club’s official website read “Our club captain will fly back home (from Germany) later today and is expected to return to training in two weeks.

The news will be music to Harry Redknapp’s ears, whilst Jonathan Woodgate is also nearing recovery from a groin injury to bolster Tottenham’s back line.
