King to return in two weeks

Ledley King

Ledley King has undergone surgery on his groin and is expected to return to training in two weeks time.

King last played for Spurs against Fulham in October, having been sidelined since with the troublesome groin injury.

The Tottenham skipper had been due to have the operation last week, but was delayed after King misplaced his passport.

A statement on the club’s official website read “Our club captain will fly back home (from Germany) later today and is expected to return to training in two weeks.

The news will be music to Harry Redknapp’s ears, whilst Jonathan Woodgate is also nearing recovery from a groin injury to bolster Tottenham’s back line.

  1. So last week we had just Bassong as fully fit and in a month we will have Kaboul, Khumalo, Dawson, King, Woodgate, Bassong and Gallas…7 different Centre backs.

I wonder who HR’s first choice would be, mine would be King and Woodgate if they were anywhere near as giood as in the past

    • No way King is a waster, the amount of money we pay him for him to hardly pay is a disgrace. Dawson would be my first choice, he hasn't played well lately but he has just come back from injury so that is to be expected, but he was brilliant before his injury. I also would play Gallas along side him, he has turned in some excellent performances for spurs.
