Ledley King will continue to be monitored on a daily basis amid reports his World Cup is over.
The Tottenham defender had to be replaced at half time during England’s 1-1 draw with the USA on Saturday due to a groin injury.
He has already been ruled out of Friday’s second Group C encounter against Algeria in Cape Town.
“Ledley has a groin muscle strain. He will be assessed on a day-to-day basis,” said a Football Association spokesman.
