Kosovo pitch invader targets Denmark and Spurs midfielder Christian Eriksen

Tottenham Hotspur have a number of players away on international duty this week, after having enjoyed a brief stop in Barcelona.

As Spurs’ match against Crystal Palace was rearranged to fit the FA Cup schedule, Tottenham were left with three weeks away from Premier League action.

Poch decided to take his stars on a three day training camp in Barcelona before granting them three days off ahead of their respective international duties.

The likes of Kane, Trippier, Rose, Dier and Alli flew back to train with England. Heung Min Son and Davinson Sanchez joined up with South Korea and Colombia respectively. Sissoko and Lloris were called up to the France squad, and Vertonghen and Alderweireld to Belgium.

However, it is Christian Eriksen and Denmark that made the headlines after a Kosovo fan invaded the pitch and ran at the Danish midfielder.

Luckily, the fan just wanted to hug Christian and ask for his shirt, something the Spurs man found rather amusing.

Eriksen later said (Quoted by Cartilage Free Captain): “I’ve never had that happen before. It came out of nowhere and was very different. It was kind of fun to try that one time. Now hopefully it doesn’t happen again.

“He got to say ‘shirt, shirt’ before he was taken away. My shirt went to a Danish soldier who was also at the stadium.”
