Niko Kranjcar believes that Tottenham Hotspur will benefit when he links up with Luka Modric in midfield.
Many had seen Kranjcar’s arrival from Portsmouth as not being able to play in the same Spurs midfield as Modric due to them both playing on the left side.
Kranjcar has been in impressive form for Spurs, most notably against Wigan, Aston Villa and Manchester City.
“I believe we play well together for the national team and I hope we’re going to play together for Tottenham,” said Kranjcar.
“For Croatia, he plays in the middle of midfield and I play down the left.
“We’ve proved throughout our careers that we can play together and that teams benefit from us two playing together.
“All we want is for Luka to get back to match fitness as soon as he can because he’s a fantastic player who opens doors in games.”
