Kulusevski admits he enjoys having ‘pain everywhere’ after suffering under Conte

Tottenham forward Dejan Kulusevski has admitted he enjoys the brutal impact of Antonio Conte’s training sessions as believes it will better prepare him for the challenges ahead.

Kulusevski, who joined Spurs from Juventus, has enjoyed a strong start to life in North London since arriving in the January transfer window.

The Sweden international slotted into Antonio Conte’s line-up seamlessly, developing an excellent combination with Harry Kane and Heung-min Son to help power Spurs into the Champions League.

Upon his arrival at the club, Kulusevski admitted he ‘loves suffering’ (Daily Mail) and was ready to put in the hard work under Conte’s regime to set him up for the challenge of English football.

Set to complete his first pre-season ahead of a first full Spurs campaign, the 22-year-old clarified the remarks and added it is ‘amazing to have pain everywhere’ as the graft should pay off in the long run.

He said (via Football.London): “It’s amazing, it’s really amazing to have pain everywhere. I think it’s a fantastic thing to have you know?

“I love to work hard because everything in life comes from working hard. It’s a little bit difficult, of course, nothing is easy, but this is what you have to do to become a champion.”
