Tottenham Hotspur have been drawn against Manchester City in the quarterfinals of the Champions League. The draw is one of the toughest Spurs could have gotten considering the teams left in the competition.

City are in brilliant form at the moment having usurped Liverpool from the first spot in the Premier League table and recently having thrashed Schalke 10-2 on aggregate to progress to the final 8 of the Champions League.

So, beating Pep Guardiola’s side over two legs will be an extremely hard ask for any team in Europe.

Spurs will play the first leg at their new stadium if the test events that are planned for later this month proceed without any glitches.

Man City full-back Kyle Walker has now reacted to drawing his former club. The England man who featured for Tottenham 229 times in 8 years, has gone on to be a key member of Guardiola’ side since moving to City in the summer of 2012.

The 28-year-old took to Twitter to post the following message:

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. Indeed it will! I tend to think that this is really the game to highlight the best two teams in the draw. Spurs being in their new srtadium will treble the excitement. WQith both teams fit and ready, it will be magic. Can’t wait !

  2. Well as a City fan, we’d like to think that we can beat anyone but to go into these games (And the league game) thinking that we only have to cross the white line to win would be a big mistake
Congratulations to all 8 quarter finalists and may the best team win

  3. Walked never joined in 2012 it’s a joke how people don’t check typos or don’t know nothing about football and still write about it what a joke
