‘L coming’ – Some Spurs fans react to starting line-up versus Aston Villa

Tottenham take on Aston Villa away in under an hour, as they look to close the gap even further in the top four race.

Chelsea are currently four points ahead of the Lilywhites in fourth, but the Blues do not play until tomorrow night and face a tough fixture at home to Man United.

Spurs come into the match off the back of two straight wins in the Premier League against Man City and Norwich City, both at home.

The Lilywhites also recorded a dramatic win over Southampton in the FA Cup just before the winter break, coming from 2-1 down to win 3-2 in the last ten minutes.

Hugo Lloris starts in goal for Spurs today, with Aurier, Alderweireld, Sanchez, and the returning Ben Davies in defence.

Harry Winks, Eric Dier, and Dele Alli line-up in midfield, while Bergwijn, Son, and Lucas form the attack.

Giovani Lo Celso, Tanguy Ndombele, Japhet Tanganga, Gedson Fernandes, Paulo Gazzaniga, Jan Vertonghen, and Oliver Skipp only make the bench.

  1. José clearly trying to rotate as best possible for a tough week. Don’t understand the premier League fixture priorities. Surely, due to CL game on Wednesday, we could have played yesterday and next Sunday. No help at all?
