Report: La Liga club still keen on signing Spurs player despite change of manager

Valencia remain keen to bring Tottenham winger Bryan Gil back to the club under new manager Gennaro Gattuso, who has now replaced Jose Bordalas in charge.

Spanish news outlet El Desmarque have reported that the Spurs starlet fits into the style of play the Italian wants to instil at Valencia.

Gil joined the Mestalla outfit in January on loan and had an impressive stint back in his homeland, having made seventeen appearances in all competitions (transfermarkt).

El Desmarque believe Gatusso’s arrival would be favourable to Gil’s chances of staying at Valencia, given the emphasis he places on wingers as part of his attacking style.

Spurs boss Antonio Conte is said not to have any plans for the Spanish international to be in his squad next season, with the North Londoners prepared to listen to all offers before making a decision.

Gil is too lightweight for the demands of the Premier League and it was telling the club decided to send him back to Spain in January, rather than putting him in the deep end with a loan switch to the likes of Burnley or Norwich City to help him adapt to the game in England.
