La Liga side enter race for Tottenham man

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to offload a number of players this month if they are to dip their own toes into the transfer market.

The likes of Mousa Dembele, Victor Wanyama, Georges-Kevin Nkoudou, Michel Vorm, Vincent Janssen and Fernando Llorente could all be possible outgoings.

According to Spanish news outlet El Desmarque, La Liga side Valencia have now entered the race to sign the last of these names, Fernando Llorente.

Since moving to Spurs, Llorente has made 41 appearances, scoring just six goals, although his actual game time has been extremely low.

Valencia are said to be interested in bringing the big man back to his native Spain, as they look to climb up the La Liga table.

The former World Cup winner enjoyed a lengthy spell in Spain with Athletic Bilbao.

With his contract up at the end of the season, a deal is unlikely to fetch much money for Spurs, but every little helps, and it could be more about getting his wages off their books.
