Tottenham Hotspur may not have completed all their January business yet and could still pull off a late deal they have been working on.
After Liverpool blocked Andy Robertson’s move to Spurs, some Tottenham fans understandably fear that no more players may arrive through the door before the window slams shut.
However, over the last 24 hours, it has been suggested that Spurs can land Robertson under one condition, which is that AS Roma manage to sign a new left-back and allow Kostas Tsimikas to return to his parent club, Liverpool.
Roma’s move for a Wolves full-back has been knocked back, but the Giallorossi are still thought to be working on other alternatives as the Scotland international’s future hangs in the balance.

Andy Robertson to Tottenham remains one to watch
Journalist Ben Jacobs has now taken to social media to confirm that Tottenham’s chances of landing the 31-year-old are reliant on Roma signing a left-back before the closure of the January window.
Jacobs backs up what we have heard from other sources by stating that Wolves turn down an offer from Roma for David Moller Wolfe.
The journalist claims that Robertson has remained professional despite Liverpool’s U-turn on the deal and adds that the left-back’s move to Spurs is one to watch in the final days of the transfer window.
Jacobs wrote on X: “Liverpool have struggled to get Kostas Tsimikas because there is no recall clause in his Roma loan. Roma will only sanction his exit if they find a left-back replacement. Roma had a £7m bid rejected for David Møller Wolfe and continue to explore other options.
“Liverpool and Robertson relaxed about the situation, but if Roma find a left-back, Spurs’ move for the Scotland international could be back on. If not, Robertson will stay at Anfield. Robertson’s professionalism has been noted having been informed earlier this week the move to Spurs, originally planned for after the UCL game against Qarabag, is not on at present. One to watch in the final days of the window in case Roma sign a new left-back.”
Robertson not expected to push for Spurs transfer
The left-back is in a powerful position as he only has six months left on his deal at Anfield, which means that Liverpool could lose him on a free in the summer.
However, it has been claimed that Robertson is not expected to push to join Tottenham after Liverpool changed their stance, and would be happy to remain at Anfield until the summer.
It is unclear if Spurs have any alternative in mind for the Scot, should a move not be feasible over the next few days.
